The Latest News on Tybee:

Tybee City Council has just voted to EXTEND the moratorium until OCTOBER 31st! The City Council includes three anti-vacation rental members. This makes this moratorium (which bans new licenses), over a year old, when it was intended to be temporary. It was said at the meeting that the legislators in Atlanta are taking notice of what is happening on Tybee Island as an abuse of moratorium by the city government. Due to this abuse of excessive extensions, the legislators are looking at putting in more strict laws that prevent multiple extensions of moratoriums in order to hold city governments accountable.
